As a location-hire venue, we don’t offer an inclusive package, and we know from experience that no two weddings are the same.

The Orangery Suite is a make-it-your-own wedding venue, meaning we are the location where couples can host their dream wedding with a do-it-yourself approach. We offer more flexibility and creative control than traditional wedding venues, so you can personalise every aspect of your day, from styling and catering to entertainment and live music.

Please note: while DIY wedding venues offer a high degree of freedom and personalisation, they often require more planning and coordination from the couple and their support network. Hiring an independent wedding planner or coordinator can take the pressure off you and your bridal party.

Included in the Venue Hire Price (all year)

• Exclusive use of The Orangery Suite and grounds, including The Orangery Suite, marquee and 3-acre gardens

• Full ceremony coordination

• 10m x 10m marquee, fully equipped with power

• Fully stocked, licensed bar and staff

• White limewash Chiavari chairs, tables for use in the marquee, and children’s highchairs if required

• White folding chairs for outdoor ceremonies; Chiavari chairs for indoor ceremonies

• White linen tablecloths, a locked post box and a cake table

• Bring your own table wine: up to 3 bottles per table of ten, plus 1 bottle of toasting fizz per 6 guests. Additional wine can be purchased as a drinks package. Your table wine will be packaged up and safely stored after your meal by 6:00pm, and returned to you after the venue closes.

• Easel, ideal for a table plan up to A1 size

• Music speaker system in The Orangery and on the terrace, a Bluetooth speaker for background music in the marquee, and a PA microphone for speeches

• Outdoor games and equipment, including croquet, table tennis, badminton, beach volleyball, basketball, giant chess, mini-golf, table football, four in a row and tumble tower

• Use of a dedicated wine fridge for chilling drinks (located in the Summer House)

• Ample free car parking

• Evening concierge security, ensuring minimal disruption

Additional Costs (all year)

• Outdoor cocktail bar on the terrace (£195): 4-hour opening, 6pm–10pm, last orders 10pm

• Booking the venue for your exclusive use the day before your wedding, for styling or set-up (£350), 11am–4:30pm. Extra time is £250 per hour. Subject to availability; please let us know as soon as possible. Not available for weddings on Mondays or Sundays.

• Catering for the reception meal is organised independently by the couple. If you use a caterer other than one of our recommended caterers, a supplementary fee of £175 applies. There is no charge for evening catering, provided the caterer doesn’t need the kitchen.

• Post-ceremony drinks package, laid out in the Summer House, on the terrace or on the lawn (please enquire for details)

• Reception drinks: we don’t charge corkage, but if you need a pouring service, please arrange this with your chosen caterer

• Registrar’s fee for the ceremony. Please contact BCP Registrars directly.

Optional Equipment Hire (all year)

• Glass hire, if required (£200). Recommended for toasting drinks; your caterer may offer a cheaper option.

• Giant L O V E letters (£95)

• Candy cart (£95). Confectionery to be supplied by you.

☀️ Summer Weddings only (1st March – 30th September)

• Up to 85 guests for your ceremony and reception, and up to 120 guests in total for your evening function

• Choice of 5 ceremony locations: 4 outdoor and 1 indoor

• Bridal Prep Room (£195): from 8am on all-day hire, or 3 hours before guest arrival on other hire types. Includes complimentary Prosecco and hot drinks until your ceremony. Earlier access: £50 per half-hour.

• Marquee heating (£150), optional

❄️ Winter Weddings only (1st October – end of February)

• All-day venue hire, 8:00am – 11:00pm

• Up to 85 guests for your ceremony and reception, and up to 120 guests in total for your evening function

• Ceremony in The Orangery Suite room is included

• Marquee heating is included

• Bridal Prep Room (£195): from 8am. Includes complimentary Prosecco and hot drinks until your ceremony. Earlier access: £50 per half-hour.

• Outdoor ceremony set-up (£500): choose one of our 4 outdoor ceremony locations. Non-refundable if the weather means moving indoors.

 

How to Book

1. All provisional bookings are held for 14 days.

2. Confirm your booking by returning our booking form with your £800 non-refundable deposit, payable by bank transfer to The Orangery Suite and Gardens Ltd. Please email us for details.

3. Your final balance invoice is due two calendar months before your wedding date, payable by bank transfer.

 

Cancellation Policy

1. All cancellations, postponements and amendments must be confirmed in writing.

2. Cancellations within six months of the wedding date will incur full payment of the venue hire fee.

3. Cancellations between six and twelve months before the wedding will incur 50% of the venue hire fee.

4. You may wish to take out wedding insurance in the unlikely event that you need to cancel.

 

Exclusions

Due to environmental, noise, safety and ecological considerations, paper or synthetic confetti, table decor under 1cm, Chinese lanterns, naked-flame candles and hay bales are not permitted at The Orangery Suite. Bubbles or natural/dried petals make a lovely alternative to paper confetti (outdoor use only). Firework displays are considered when managed by our recommended supplier.
